KATHLEEN GREEN - CEO
Prior to joining Causeway, Kat founded Spygirl Pictures in 2010, and worked as a freelance editor and post supervisor for The Weinstein Company, HBO, A&E Networks, MTV, MSNBC, The Sundance Channel, VH1, Fuse, Spike TV, and the History Channel. She has been working in film, video, and live event production since 1997, and building interactive art since 2006. In that time, she has created documentaries, music videos, short films, web series, and visual art with the goals of finding untold stories, playing with physics, and generally making pretty things to look at.
The Spygirl team recently completed post on the horror feature Erebus, featuring Michael Berryman, as well as the web series The Adventures of Shakespeare and Watson: Detectives of Mystery, and the live action trailer for the comic, Thomas Alsop, published by BOOM! Studios. Kat's projects have included the The Secret Life of Mushrooms, a documentary about the history of narco-tourism in Huautla de Jimenez, Mexico, the music video for Moby’s New York, New York; the documentary Brilliant Simplicity for Metropolis Magazine; and the short film, Coffee Time. She was also co-founder of the Dance Film Association’s Dance Film Lab, a works-in-progress screening series for dance filmmakers.
Susan Archer joined Spygirl Pictures in 2013 and was a critical part of their re-branding into feature film development. Vacillating between the worlds of production and finance, she has been participating in a wide variety of theater, film, and television projects, while also troubleshooting problems for high net worth individuals. For eight years, as a Client Service Manager at Mariner, she was the single point of contact for individuals in a group that had $154 million of assets under management. After seeing what Kat was up to, she decided to combine her worlds and help to develop interesting projects in a profitable way.
As an actor, she has appeared in The Egg Project, 64, Orange is the New Black, and Dominoes at the Seattle International Film Festival. She has also worked with Collective: Unconscious, Theater 80, the Gene Frankel Theater, Theater for the New City, La Mama, Dixon Place, Here Theater, and with luminaries like Gordon Bressack, Ruby Lynn Reyner, Sheldon Patinkin, Marty Demott, and Norm Holly.
